I ‘cut my teeth’ in small animal practice in a hospital in London, before moving to the Jurassic Coast to enjoy a more active lifestyle.
I first completed a degree in Zoology at Trinity College Dublin, before moving to Budapest to obtain my degree in Veterinary Medicine. I’ve an interest in imaging and soft tissue surgery and am working towards completing an advanced certificate in General Practice from the Royal Veterinary College.
Growing up on a farm in Ireland meant I was never too far away from animals. Whether it was nursing stray kittens, bottle feeding calves or riding horses, I was immersed in it from day one. It can be a difficult job at times, but I wouldn’t wish to be doing anything else.
When I was growing up I wanted to be … a Vet.
