Treatments

The best care for your pets

Our aim is to give you all round good advice and offer treatments to help your pet live the best and longest life they can. We are able to offer a whole host of treatments including annual vaccinations and boosters, preventative health (fleas, ticks worms), pet dentistry, neutering and surgery.

There’s many different breeds of dogs, cats and rabbits these days, all of which have their own specific needs. That’s why we hope to provide the best basic pet advice to help you keep your pets happy and healthy. Check out the information on our Dogs, Cats, Rabbits and Small Furries pages.

There’s nothing like seeing your vet in person though, so if you’re concerned about something, we always advise making an appointment.

We’re adding to our library of advice articles all the time, so please check back if you can’t find what you’re looking for right now.

If you’re ever unsure about something, please get in touch; we love hearing from you and will do our best to help.

Dogs

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the UK’s favourite pet is the dog.

We’re here to help with general health and wellbeing, neutering, lifetime diets, preventative health treatments, specific conditions, surgery, exercise, and much more.

We like to see those tails wagging, so check out our advice articles or make an appointment with us.

Cats

We’re a nation of animal lovers, and right up there is the joy of owning and loving a cat.

Cats can live to a good old age, but their needs change (as with any pet), and we’re here to help you during their life journey. We can help with general health and wellbeing, neutering, lifetime diets, preventative health treatments, specific conditions, surgery, and more.

Our healthy advice for your feline friend can be found here or make an appointment with us.

Rabbits

Around 2% of us now own a rabbit, making them the third most popular pet in the UK.

We provide a range of services for buns to help them with any dental issues, getting neutered or simply having their yearly jabs. We love bunnies here at Vetsmiths and will always do our absolute best for them. So don’t hesitate to book an appointment for your bouncy friend, or take a peek at our advice on how to look after your fluffy one at home.

Other Small Furries

Guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils are fun family pets and are becoming more and more popular. We’ve included some basic information for caring for your small furry pets, things to look out for and general wellbeing.

Including your children in looking after their little furry friend is the best way forward. This teaches them to respect animals and gives them a basic understanding of what it’s like to own and be responsible for a pet.
