Setting veterinary standards
Vetsmiths is included in the RCVS Register of Veterinary Practice premises.
They are our professional body who ensure we up-hold our ethical and clinical standards. They safeguard the interests of the public and animals, by ensuring that only those registered with them can carry out the acts of veterinary surgery.
We’re also an accredited Small Animal General Practice as part of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) which is a voluntary initiative for veterinary practices in the UK.
Through setting standards and carrying out regular assessments (every four years), the scheme promotes and maintains the highest standards of veterinary care. It offers peace of mind to clients of accredited practices and allows pet owners to make a more informed choice.
In January 2026 we underwent our four year inspection to ensure all standards across the business are being met. This is rigorous in terms of every final detail is examined and tested.
